Exhibit: “Puppets: The World In Your Hands"

Puppeteer and textile artist Nancy Lacher of Amalgamated PuppetWorks, Inc. brings a castle full of creations with this family friendly exhibit of her originally designed and built puppets ranging from a 2” mouse to a giant man-eating plant (with any number of bears, bunnies, monsters, and a dinosaur or two in between).

Classical myth and contemporary attitudes collide in this reworking of the story of Philomele, her sister Procne, and Procne’s hustand, Tereus. This provocative, theatrical play weaves and juxtaposes themes of love, violence, and the cost of silence. Contains mature content not suitable for children.

Exhibit: The Central Ohio Watercolor Society Spring Show

The Central Ohio Watercolor Society, established in 1967, is one of the few organizations in the US that steadfastly holds true to the transparent watercolor medium. The Castle is proud to host their annual juried Spring Show. The public is invited free of charge to the reception (April 25, 2-4 pm) to meet the artists and enjoy refreshments.
