Family Farm Chores - 9-11:30 am

Each morning, the farmer cares for the livestock, checking on their well-being, feeding grain and hay, filling waterers, gathering and washing eggs, and milking the goats. Become a part of the farm one morning a month as you take your turn helping with morning animal chores. Dress for dirt.

Exhibit: "At Face Value"

The Arts Castle has invited a select group of portrait artists from central Ohio to showcase their work in this juried show. We are pleased to be presenting the work of Maria White, Aida Garrity, Ruth Ann Sturgill and Angela Gage, among many others. In a first-of-its-kind event, The Castle wil host a public paint-out on Saturday morning to which all are invited!

June 11 - Paint-Out - 9:30 am-Noon

Children and adults of all ages and experiece are invited free of charge to tour the exhibit, enjoy refreshments, and draw and paint live models around The Castle grounds with the participating artists. Prizes will be awarded to both public participants and exhibiting artists at noon.

New Vistas in Astronomy - 8 pm - "New Planets from the Kepler Mission" by Marc Pinsonneault

This mini-course in astronomy will allow you to learn about the latest discoveries by astronomers and, on a clear night, to observe a variety of celestial objects with the 32-inch Schottland reflecting telescope. This lecture series is geared toward a more adult audience.

Great Ohio Bicycle Adventure (GOBA)

An annual one-week bicycle loop tour through Ohio. GOBA features a different part of Ohio each year, traveling through peaceful countryside and stopping at exciting tourist destinations. This week-long adventure offers fun, Ohio hospitality, and a challenging and rewarding vacation. This year's host towns will be Kenton, Marion, Delaware, London, and Bellefontaine.

Delaware Amateur Radio Field Day - Starting at 2 pm on June 25 and going for 24 hours

Bring your family for this educational event. This 24-hour event prepares us to set up quickly and communicate all around the world in the case of an emergency situation. Local ham radio operators set up equipment, including tents, generators, antennas and radio stations, in a field location. Then for 24 hour straight we communicate all over the world. Come watch our radio oeperators work far away stations. A special station will be set up for anyone interested in getting on the air, it's a great way for children to try something different! Come see what Amateur Radio can do for you!
