One spring day, my three-year-old granddaughter and I planned to walk some of the trails in the woods at Highbanks Park. She dressed herself that morning in a tiger costume she had worn for Boo at the Zoo and loved to play with, her favorite aqua, lace-trimmed socks, and a plastic backpack. My son told her that grandma would not take her anywhere dressed like that, but I did. We had a great time exploring nature, puting a few rocks and pine cones in her backpack, and even took a photograph of our shadows together on the pathway. Yep, we got a few inquisitive stares and comments, but most thought she was charming. After that, we also went out to eat at Bob Evans restaurant. We had a wonderful memory-making day together!
