Tween Art Explorers: Puzzles
Explore a different artist or style and create something inspired by your new art history knowledge. For tweens ages 9-12. Collaborate to decorate, create, and assemble a community puzzle.
The first jigsaw puzzle was said to be an image of a map and is believed to be made in 1760. After centuries, jigsaw puzzles still remain a popular pastime today. Puzzles range from images of classic works of art to pop culture to complexly arranged photos.
This quarter’s work of art will be a collaborative effort between all the participants. Come and decorate a puzzle piece or two. The assembled puzzle will be displayed in the tween zone.
