Techniques: Basics of stoneware glazingProject: Brush stoneware glazes onto bisque-fired pieces. If you are glazing a pre-made stoneware bisque item, you will pay for both the bisque and the $25 for the class. Guidance: Use painting and glaze layering techniques to add unique finishes to stoneware bisque. Stoneware Bisque: Participants choose one of our stoneware bisque pieces to purchase and glaze. If attendees have already created an item at our hand-building or wheel throwing classes, they may glaze those pieces instead. Age Recommendation: Ages 13 and older, Ages 8-12 with parent supervision. Participants will be able to add unique and beautiful finishes to stoneware pieces using techniques taught during the lesson. Stoneware is fired at a higher temperature, making it much more durable than other types of ceramic. This class is ideal for beginners and a stepping stone for those eyeing our studio day passes or memberships. Join us in turning imagination into art!Membership and Day Passes:- Requirement: This class fulfills the glazing requirement for new potters interested in obtaining a Delaware Pottery Studio Membership or Day Passes. This course program creates a structured progression for those who want to continue their pottery journey at the studio. Recommendations for Participants:1.
