From what started as a dream turned into reality for Anne Vagasky. Today we celebrate shopping local and supporting small businesses on Small Business Saturday. 

Vagasky was working in the cooperate world along side her father as she was encouraged by a friend to start her own thing and go for it. She always had a dream of opening a local shop and soon she found herself looking for properties to make that dream come true. She fell in love with Powell and the community. 

Vagasky has been part of the Delaware County community for over 15 year with her children in Olentangy schools, she knew this was a location that was close to home in many ways. I asked Vagasky what her favorite part of the Powell community was and she answered undoubtedly that they care about the local businesses. Shopping local retailers and eating at local restaurants is what drives the City of Powell. Vagasky continues to work with the community and other local businesses inside of Powell and Delaware County but also outside with other local shops. She recently helped hosted a Sip & Shop in Powell and often puts together Moms & Mimosas at her store. 

If you haven’t been to Peachstree Street, they just opened a new location earlier this year that houses their home decor. Anne found herself over growing her first location, A Lifestyle Boutique when the the property across the street became available. This was the perfect sign to expand the business. Vagasky has always hoped that she would come this far and is only more hopeful for the future. Peachtree is hoping to expand again in Powell and possibly into more parts of Delaware County.
