What about Winter in Delaware County

The last of the leaves are hitting the ground, temperatures are cooling, and snowflakes will soon fall. Winter is still a great time to experience the great outdoors and the cozy indoors in Delaware County.

If you haven’t been to Alum Creek State Park in the winter, you’re in for a treat. Pull on your boots and gather your friends to go sledding, ice skating, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, ice fishing, and ice boating at this massive lake. If pancakes are a favorite, plan to attend the Maple Syrup Festival held in March and stock up on the sugary goodness. While there, you can visit pioneer areas where you learn pioneer games, watch a blacksmith make nails, or try your hand at branding, rope making, and other skills. For those who favor a warmer weekend in the cold months, there are several adventures that will put a road trip to Delaware County on the top of your list. A winter concert with The Central Ohio Symphony is a wonderful way to spend an evening in Delaware County. Make a day of it!
